Description
In the early spring of 2024, Ben was commissioned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to create an art piece while simultaneously working with a videographer to create a video about love for the Church’s YouTube Channel. A link for this video can be found in the video section of this website. This plate was inspired by one of the tiles Ben created specifically for this project.
Our world is in trouble at least partly due to the fact that our priorities have shifted. Love of self, love of heroes, love of money have all destroyed the correct order of things. God, if He makes the list at all, is often found at the very bottom. But Christ himself shares the recipe for joy—Love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, then to love others and yourself. When things get out of order, as they so easily can and often do in a world that promotes selfishness and greed, things are quickly turned upside down. Love is the answer, yes, but putting this virtue into practice daily and in the correct order will not only show our obedience to Jesus, it will also open our lives and hearts to the beauty and joy Jesus promises his disciples.
The plate measures 6″ in diameter. It is food, dishwasher, microwave and oven safe.
