In my Ruby Pentalogy, Ruby and her husband, Lorenzo, share with their summer recruits the time honored Keys of Joy that have been passed down through at least 300 years of Niederbippian History. These keys, when understood and practiced daily, have the ability to invite joy into our lives and encourage it to grow. Joy, I have learned, does not happen spontaneously, but is rather a gift that comes from the realm of the Gods to those who are striving to live according to the principles of joy. One cannot neglect any of these keys and expect joy to be their companion, but by being anxiously engaged with all of them, Joy will be your companion and friend. This plate measures 6″ in diameter.
