Tune My Heart Platter

Description

In the early spring of 2024, I was commissioned to create an art piece that would become the subject of a YouTube Video for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. (See link on my videos page at www.potterboy.com) This piece, entitled, Tune My Heart to Sing Thy Grace, is 4’ X 8’ and weighs close to 200 lbs.  It makes a statement and encourages a study of its multitude of messages, but few people have the funds or space for a piece of that size.

I wanted to make a piece that incorporated many of the same beautiful messages, but was more approachable and manageable for the average homeowner or apartment dweller. This platter, only 14 inches in diameter, incorporates many of my favorite messages about Love. These subtle, and sometimes not so subtle reminders, encourage us to take a deeper look at who we are and how we are loving, and reminds us of our connection to heavenly parents—the greatest source of grace and love.

Yes, it’s rigged to hang on the wall, but it’s also dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe. Hang it on the wall as a meaningful piece of artwork, or pull it off the wall when the guests arrive and fill it full of salad, fruit or pasta.
